third-generation retailers in the Bitely area. The Groff/Michalski
families have owned stores in Bitely since 1922. Up North Gift Co. also
offers a vast selection of souvenirs with name drops such as Bitely,
Nichols Lake, Pettibone Lake, and of course, we also offer our famous Up
North choices too. We are also the originator of the University Of
Bitely items that many of you have seen around Michigan and beyond.
Also included in our souvenir choices is “Elongated Pennies” or “Pinched
Pennies” with a choice of a Bitely Loon, a Baldwin Trout or an Up North
Moose. We have the only Penny Pincher Machine in the area that
produces these wonderful and collectable copper coins.
