Up North in Michigan

Some say "up north" is the upper peninsula of Michigan, some say Indian River and north, or north of Clare or north of the 45th parallel.  All of these are correct, yet, if you talk to some one from out of state, all of Michigan is considered "up north".  During our early history as the state was being explored and settled, anything north of Detroit or Chicago was considered "up north".  Michigan up north is so special we have given it its own site.   www.upnorthmichigan.com .
