The Dam Site Inn is at the original spot where George Reeves operated his famous (infamous) mill and hidden still. While the flour mill produced over a hundred barrels of flour per day, the barrels produced by the still were in great demand for weddings, funerals, barn raisings and other gatherings despite the fact that it was so bad the "indians" called it "hell water".
