Aura, Michigan
This may be the best music festival you don't know
anything about in a town you have never heard of. For going on forty years now they have been celebrating
with music up there in Aura, Michigan. Usually held in late July,
the festival will boast more than 50 top musicians, ensembles and groups
from Michigan and several other states.
There is traditional folk, bluegrass, ethnic, classical and country western music. There are work shops by masters of music and instrument making. In past jamborees there has been Finnish fiddling workshops and Kantele workshops.
