Hogstravaganza - Homer, Michigan
August brings out the celebrations all across Michigan. Some are what you would expect and then some of them have elements that show the creativity of the community and the people who call it home.
This festival is a big success in a small town. You have an amazing mix of activities and events including, a bass fishing tournament, pet parade, puppet show, waterball, uke n sing, watermelon toss, mud volleyball. hog calling contest and horseshoe tournament to name a few.
There are even rumors of politicians kissing piglets.
