Pumpkin Glow - Reading, Michigan
Reading Michigan's Octoberfest is full of fun for everyone from the time the Amish wagons come in to town brimming full of pumpkins through the carving schedule carried out at the Fire Barn! RHS big brothers and sisters help gut and clean the pumpkins and then assist the elementary kids with their carving efforts.
Teachers, parents, grandparents, all get to help out! Then the 500 plus creatively carved pumpkins are hauled to the Pumpkin Stands on Main Street where Reading's Famous Pumpkin Glow takes place from dusk through Halloween Parade time! There's also an Octoberfest Craft Show and Downtown Business windows display Halloween Posters painted by RHS Art Classes.
