Michigan attractions and Terrific Towns
As you are speeding along U.S. 2 you will enjoy many options for things to do. Stonington Point, Fayette, Escanaba, Gladstone and Manistique all offer plenty of great Michigan attractions. Fun and frolic are hard work and good food is essential. As you pass through Rapid River you may see one of those old time U.P. signs that says EAT. I recommend you try it out, especially for lunch.
The people are friendly and the service is good. The BLT may be the best one I've ever had. The bread is made on site and the bacon was thick and tasty.
I have a passion for good a Rueben sandwich and order them whenever I can. Jack's delivered on this one too. Not necessarily world class like their BLT but, a most excellent Rueben.
Two more points about this place. The portions are just as big as the food is delicious and, if you have a sweet tooth, grab some home-made cinnamon rolls on the way out. Each one is about the size of a spaghetti squash.
