Pentwater, Michigan is an historic village situated at the outlet of the Pentwater River nestled between Pentwater Lake and the Lake Michigan shoreline. This quaint village has gorgeous tree-lined streets, charming victorian homes and cottages repleat with beautiful gardens. Downtown Pentwater invites you to stroll along the street, enjoying the wide variety of unique shops. You can pause on the village green where Thursday evening band concerts have been a tradition for more than 50 years. The Candlewyck House B & B is also the headquarters for the Nantucket Basket Lady. The common rooms are festooned with her beautiful hand-made baskets.
Day 1 - Around Town - Perhaps the best part of Pentwater is the traditional downtown area with unique shops like
Decors Gifts, historic architecture and good food. The Brown Bear has long been famous for their burger. Bicycling is a great way to tour the area and see the great architecture and gorgeous gardens. Mears Park is nearby for beach goers and the waterfront is just a block from the main street. Just north of town is the scenic Lake Shore Drive where Bortells have been serving up the best fried and smoked fish in the world for 5 generations.
Day 2 - Geo Cache - There are more than 100 geo-cache sites in the area, one is on our grounds - Ride along the lake to the Pentwater Pathways on one of our bicycles - Enjoy music in the Park or If you need a little more exercise, take one of our bicycles and pedal to
Day 3 - Unique Shopping - Explore unique shops in the old downtown - Take a short country drive to the gorgeous Lavender Labyrinth
