Firefly - Clare, Michigan

Michigan Golf Getaway -

Firefly is a beautiful course in a park-like setting that is full of the challenges golfers love. Gorgeous greens that will hold a well struck ball and will roll true. Those greens are protected by water on 13 holes and many of the of those greens slope away from your approach shot. In addition to that, there are blind shots and many hazards along the way, but even those are marked with yellow checkered flags so you know what to avoid, just a wonderful golf course.

The conditions are almost always perfect, no matter what the winter was like. The course is very fair and accessible for seniors, women and beginners but will give accomplished players plenty of challenges. Those yellow checkered flags really help. If you look at the yardage and think this is just a short, easy course, come and try it out.

Firefly Golf Links is located on over 130 acres of beautiful woodlands with natural streams, water on 13 holes and the occasional visit from numerous wildlife species. Exacting greens and bluegrass fairways make Firefly a challenge whatever your handicap is.

Built in the early 1930's, Firefly is Clare County's oldest golf course. With the 1992 expansion to 18 holes, it became one of the most in demand courses in the area. Exacting greens, water on 13 holes and Bluegrass fairways built through gently rolling woodlands make Firefly a challenge for golfers of every skill. Sightings of White Tail deer, Blue Heron, Snappy the turtle, wild turkeys, and other wildlife add to your pleasurable round.
