Michigan Attractions in the Northwest

Terrific Towns are perfect places to visit when you need a break from the fun stops on the back roads.  Not just fun destinations, these are pro-active towns that are great places to live.  Bellaire - Central Lake - Manistee - Frankfort

Historical Museum at Arcadia MichiganThis region of Michigan is as different from the rest of the state as imaginable.  The mix of top quality shops and B&B's next to gorgeous nature areas is truly unique.  While this area is home to a couple of our most famous cities, the small towns and out of the way destinations that abound here will keep you coming back again and again.  There is a legendary gravity mystery near Frankfort.  The M-22 drive is one of the most spectacular in the state and Crystal Lake remains pristine.

Further inland east of Torch Lake is the Michigan Chain of Lakes near Central Lake.  Then there are the Grass River Nature Area, Seven Bridges Nature Area and, of course, the Shops of Alden.
