Frigate Books - Gladstone, Michigan

There is nothing quite like finding one of those cool shops hidden on a side street in a picturesque little town.  Next time you are ripping along US 2 in the upper peninsula, stop for a break in Gladstone and visit Frigate Books.

This great shop has more than 25,000 titles, many of which are out of print.  The store also has a small gift section featuring work by local artisans including pottery, woodwork and lots of one-of-a-kind treasures.
