Chesaning on the Water
Chesaning has an active historical society and a long history with the river that runs through town. The community is rightly proud of the river front park and decided to enhance the area by preserving an historic bridge scheduled for demolition.
At great effort and expense the bridge, one of the last of its kind. was moved to Chesaning and installed as a foot bridge to link the walking path across the river. Alas, Mother Nature, Father Winter and the mighty river had other plans.
