From the beautiful Kings Mill, to the Gray Robes Ford,
legends on the river, to the history of the Mendon inn,
there is history and adventure in the town history.
Riverfest is one of the best ways to discover both the St. Joseph river and Mendon. Every August the celebration begins and the river is the focal point.
The Water Heritage River Trail is a wonderful way to see the area and learn the history. Bird lovers should bring binoculars and cameras. Even a short time on the river will bring you into contact with as many as 40 different varieties of birds. Of course, you will encounter deer and turtles and even the occasional fox out on the river.
