Stanton, Michigan

Terrific Towns are known for their natural beauty, rich history and quality of life.  Stanton is a town that can capture you for a couple of days with ease.

stanton sceneDowntown Stanton has several unique shops, antiques, dining spots, bakery and gift shops.  Businesses of all kinds are close in and yet just around the corner is a picturesque park and the Fred Meijer Heartland Trail passes through as well.

Stanton Old Fashioned Days is a major festival each August and runs for several days.  Even though the main street is M-66, the community still manages to close it off for one full day during the festival.

The nearby lakes have always played an important role in the life of the town.  In fact, the first telephone line was run from downtown Stanton to Clifford Lake 6 miles outside of town.  If you are looking for a pristine woodland, you can't do better than the Comden - Towle Model Forest.  It has well kept hiking trails, beautiful trees and yet another body of water.  The forest is located midway between Stanton and the Farm Country Cheese House.
