Quiet Places

When you visit some of these Michigan attractions and the winter getaways you may be underwhelmed.  Of course, that is the idea.  Whether it is a long weekend or a 30 minute walk, each of these Michigan getaways will provide a perfect break from the rush and chaos of daily life.

Many of these are devoid of amenities but some have full facilities like the Pierce Cedar Creek Institute pictured below.

The idea is that many of these are very close to major roads and towns yet, you can step out of your car and into silence and solitude without traveling a long way.

Many of the trails here are full use and are from the rails to trails program.
