Pike Fest - Amasa, Michigan
Always the day before the Super Bowl, this is a fast becoming a favorite of the hardy outdoors gang. There are prizes for the biggest Northern Pike and for the biggest Walleye Pike. At the end of the day there is a band and a banquet. Last year this festival had over 100 entrants and the winners were a 34"+ northern and a 23"+ walleye.
There are a few rules to abide by:
Good Sportsmanship
Obey all Michigan fishing regulations
Fish Iron County waters only
No spearing, hook and line only
With a full bar and full dining room this is a great place to stop even if you aren't in the Pike Festival Tournament.
