Good Food - Great Dining.

Sometimes your Michigan getaway vacation can be planned around great places to eat.  The places here are not necessarily the most famous and there are certainly places I haven't discovered.  These are all tried and true and represent a wide variety in towns large and small.

You never know what you will find in the least expected places.  If you are going through Kalkaska you might want to stop at Whitetails.  From the outside it looks like an old time "up north" steakhouse.  Inside it is clean and comfortable and full of surprises.  The gyro is excellent, The stuffed grape leaves are excellent.  Yes they have burgers etc. but, they have really great middle east dishes as well, just delicious.
