The quality of life in the Terrific Towns in each region is highlighted by the drive and successes of the people who have built them. Chesaning in region 5 is a special place that is being re-invented every day by the residents and yet, is entirely different from Harbor Beach. Ontonagon in the western upper peninsula is as different from Escanaba in the banana belt as it is from Cedarville in the Les Cheneaux area in the east.

Harrisville on the northern sunrise side is as charming a place as you can find. Baldwin in 4 is full of special places yet is in the same geographic area as Ludington on Lake Michigan.
