Coldwater is full of surprises. In addition to the excellent shops and galleries, this town has some of the finest turn of the century architecture to be found anywhere in Michigan. There are enough unique things to see and do here, that you could take a number of quick getaways to Coldwater. There is the railroad, that architecture, the opera house, the alligators, antiques and drive in movies. Chicago Avenue, the Great Sauk Trail, is the main thoroughfare. On, and around that picturesque avenue, are distinctive attractions, over a hundred fresh water lakes, and nature areas.

There are two principle shopping destinations in Coldwater Country. Downtown Coldwater has a collection of shops and dining options that will keep visitors plenty busy. From jewelry, to notions to crystals to gourmet coffee, you can find it downtown. Then there are the nearby antique malls that have enough variety that you may need to stay over. Items available there include antiques, furniture, collectibles, clocks, and primitives. New items arrive almost daily. These shops offer true antiques and vintage items at great prices, seven days a week.

Another cool Michigan day trip.
