Upper Peninsula
The upper peninsula of Michigan comprises 33% of the land mass of the state, but is home to only 3% of the population. Miles and miles of Great Lakes shoreline surround hundreds of square miles of pristine forest, forests that are dotted with lakes and crossed by endless miles of rivers and streams. Here and there across the beautiful landscape, a few towns and communities are home to the hardy citiezens, yoopers.
